I like doing things. This section is my project depot.
Programming
Programming is great. Sometimes, interesting projects arise from seemingly stupid ideas. Here are some of these projects. They work under my operating system and with some luck, they will work under yours, too.
If not mentioned otherwise, all code is licensed under a BSD licence
Active
These are programs that I use regularly:
- CipherDagger, my implementation of the CipherSaber algorithm.
- Hyppolyta, an elegant way to sort and catologue your belongings.
- IMR (in medias res), a demo program for the
BPFdevice.
Dormant
As Lovecraft put it:
Ph'nglui mglw'nafh Cthulhu R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn
These are my Cthulhu projects: They are finished and I probably don't use them anymore (at least for the time being):
- comphom, a program for computing homology groups.
- GPSCon, a GPS mapping application for the console. This one was a rather quick hack, anyway.
- HiFi, a steganography application. Writing this was quite instructive, but I doubt that this program is really useful.
University assignments
Some code salvaged from various programming assignments:
- Binary Space Partitioning demo application
- OpenGL/GLUT applications from a course on Computer Graphics.
Tinkering
Sometimes, I tinker with stuff. Here are some of my attempts:
- Brewing really great coffee using a Sintrax vintage vacuum coffee maker (there's even a video).
- Using a Soekris 4801-50 as an über-router (that runs FreeBSD, of course).
- An automated Cocktail machine, for which I am proudly providing web space. I did not participate in its construction, however.
